William Yeates was diagnosed at age of 59 with Younger Onset Alzheimer's Disease.

He recenty entered a documentary into the NOVA Short Film Festival. His documentary is about his journey in returning as a volunteer surf lifesaver and competing in masters swimming and surf lifesaving.

He “hopes that this documentary not only helps to change our society's perception of this disease but it also encourages other people who are living with dementia that you can still lead a better life, one which is rewarding and fulfilling.”
